Even If You Don’t Care

I hate to break it but I will not stop.

I now get it.

I take in the truth that in the end I can’t really force someone to do anything, even if it’s for their own good.

..even if it’s you

I can’t force you to believe in the things I believe in.
I can’t force you to support the dreams and passions I have.

I can’t force you to believe my side of the story, even when we both know I am right.

I can’t force an apology.

I can’t force growth.

I can’t force people to show up on time, or even show up at all.

I can’t force someone for a commitment.

I can’t force change, even if it means good life.

I can’t force someone to move on because really, they can take as long as it takes.

I can’t rush you for a decision. You and God can talk about it as much as you want. As much as you need.

In the end, I have learned that people will do whatever they want, even if that means hurting you. Worst? Choosing others over you.

I will not come clean in this. I have a fair share of neglecting people and stepping on them. It’s a terrible truth that leaves people bitter and fearful. It’s a cycle.

But you know what? I don’t care.
I don’t care if you don’t care.

I have to love anyway

I have to be patient anyway

I have to be forgiving anyway
..because I don’t need another list of wrongdoings.

No, I cannot force anything on you, and I won’t.

I can only pour out what I have and I have Jesus.

I’ll pour Him out to you.

I’ll pour out love to you.

Even if you don’t care. Especially if you don’t care.

This is His grace.

This is His love at work.

This is greatness.

Love sees greatness in someone who cannot see it in themselves.
