Stay in Love

Okay, here goes the big reveal.
I am moving to Bangkok

. . . IN FIVE DAYS!

_QxCU7MV

And it’s crazy.

I am caught in between.

My stuff are still unpacked

My To Do Lists are getting longer and longer

Still have places to go and visit

Documents to request and claim

Those two case studies that I still have to submit in grad school. Insane! Help!

And oh, friends to meet. People to meet.

But when I said yes to this, I know its part of the plan.

I love it.

I love that I am caught in between.

You see.. most of the times, people will just recognize two things:
The Beginning and the End.
But I love the In Between.

Repeatedly, people will say from Point A to Point B.
Forgetting Point A.0001 or Point A.00014
Again, In Between is forgotten.

Now, that I’m caught in between.
I can’t help not to remember Jesus on His own in between season.

Remember the time when He was about to die yet people were still telling Him that if He only renounce all His false teachings, they will let them go. Remember that?

Probably He was quietly telling Himself,

This is it. I’m going to die.

I find myself lately saying almost the same lines with that.

This is it. I’m about to change my entire life.

Oh heavens, no turning back.

Recently, when people ask me about my preparations on this big move, I am dying to tell them that I am scared to death. Yet people will always be people. They only want to hear what they WANT to hear.

But hear me out my friend, I am scared.

I have no idea of what I’m doing yet for some reason God is making a way for me in the wilderness of the unknown.

I have faith but I’m scared.
I have faith but it doesn’t mean I have doubts.

I am scared but I dare not to doubt to the unfailing power of God
who brought me from there, here, and that.

I am scared because I know I need a Savior
I am scared because I know I will depend to no one except Him

I am scared like a small child who is screaming,
Father! From now on, it’s only You and me.

I am scared but I have peace, my friend.
God is giving me His peace in this unexpected life.

I am caught in between.
I traded integrity for security and called it Love.

But if there’s one thing that this season has taught me, this is it: STAY IN LOVE.

Stay in love.

But what is love?
Who is love?

Love is the one who would repeatedly remind you that you are loved.
and would woo you with , Hey beautiful
and mean it.

When you first wake up,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When you are mad,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When you look in the mirrow and there’s that pimple,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When you just finish crying,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When you don’t want to hear it,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When nobody else cares to say it,
Hey beautiful, you are loved.

When you don’t believe it
Love would still say,
Hey beautiful.

You are loved.

Love will not just make you grow
Love will stretch you

Love is not simple
Love is messier

Love will make you wait and wait
but will make you more worth it each day.

Love would spread all His notes for you
At the trees, billboards, rain, your bed, your coffee…

Love is broken but made perfect for you
Only you.

Love stays
and Love leaves.

So it can remind you, Stay in love.

“Remain in My love.” (John 15:9-12)

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.” (John 15:4)

  1. Hey Joena, Bangkok is not that far as I thought. I can still hear from you even so! haha! 😀 Just read it and It’s a blessing! God bless you there, sister! Yeah, stay in love! 🙂

  2. This is beautiful. I can see the influence of Sarah Kaye and Phil Kay’s spoken word. Wonderful, thanks!
