5 Things I do NOT want to do with you

A friend told me before that it is equally important to know the things that you do not like to do as to the things that you want to do.

With that, you define boundaries.
I love boundaries.
Boundaries means Convictions.

Boundaries2

1. I do not want to argue with you. I want to communicate with you.
Please. We can have passionate discussions but arguing is not just the thing for us. I would rather give up on the conversation than give up on you. I don’t care if we spend all night talking as long as we fix things. I vow to God, we’re gonna get it right.

2. I do not want to have “mall” dates with you.
I know you can do better. Take me on a trip out of town or to that park. Let us run together. Let us go see that basketball game that you’re dying to go to. Lets drive around the city until it takes us to the unknown. We can even go to the highest of mountains and the deepest of seas but malls? Really?

3. I do not want to stop you from doing what you love to do.
You are passionate. Your leadership bless hundreds of people. I believe in you and I would support you even if life would throw failures at you. You can always try. In fact, go and continue going out of your comfort zone. God’s love tells me to let you fly and trust that you will always come back. Go and reach your highest potentials. Chase that dream. Be the best version of yourself.

4. I do not want to discuss our differences.
I love our differences. I smiled at the thought that God finds us better together despite “those.” Truly, His thoughts are way higher than our thoughts. Besides, life would be boring if I would spend the rest of my life with someone who acts like me. Challenge me everyday with our difference, love.

5. I do not want and will not go ahead of you. Ever.
I promise. To respect your leadership. To respect your decisions. To respect your authority. To respect your obedience in God. To respect your love. Our love.

That being said, I wish I could say that I would be perfect in submitting to you. But I’m not. In the end, I still need a higher authority.  Much higher than yours. Allow me to lock myself in our room if times are difficult. I need the love that is patient, that is kind. The love that always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. The love that never fails. I need the love that only the Guy above can graciously give.

Afterwards, I will be ready again to offer the same love to you. The love that is patient, that is kind. The love that always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. The love that never fails.
